Logos: Deep Bible Study App Reviews

This software is more than just a Bible, but rather a complete study resource. Wonderful for the simple reading of Gods word, and the in-depth study of it.

Over the years I have read many devotionals, however, the daily devotions found in this amazing app are far & away the finest I have ever read. And, there is one for every morning & one for every evening. Praise God for blessing my life with such an incredible free gift!

This is an excellent resource for both the novice and the seasoned student of Scripture. The abundance of resources, word search functionality, and split screen capability make my Bible study much more effective. Thank you ~

I was given Jon Coursons commentaries for my birthday by my parents. With buying the said bundle, you receive about 70 other books to read. Bible versions or other religious material to strengthen your walk with God. I highly recommend the app!

Logos excels in every way with devotionals, reading plans, and the ability to download your favorite resources for off-line study. When you can get online access, the passage guide, wealth of resources from your PC or Mac software, and Bible word study function, provide unparalleled functionality for going deeper in your study of The word of God.

Love the app but most recent update is not allowing resources to load and app crashes. Needs work. 5 stars again when this problem is fixed. Currently unusable.

I like being able to give resources a star rating and then sorting the resources in the library page by this rating. This finally makes it possible to organize large numbers of books in the order you want. You cannot put the star rating in from the app, but have to use your PC to do that. By adding various custom tags to groups of resources in the PC app, then typing a group name into the library search window and sorting by rating you can efficiently get to books you are interested in.

This app is great! It has many great features and lots of great resources! Obviously, this its best if you have a Logos account, but even the free portion is pretty amazing! Five stars.

While Logos is a great resource generally, the app is okay at best. One of the most annoying problems is that when in the split window view, settings for fonts, etc, are equally applied to both windows. The Hebrew font is way too big, but if you try to reduce its size, the font size for the English text of the second window is reduced as well. So you must take your pick: huge Hebrew font, or tiny English font. Compared to the extensive features and flexibility of the Olive Tree Bible app, Logos really pales in comparison.

Should include study guide and sermon guide.

ESV audio does not work properly. Audio starts at verse 1 for each chapter, but the text jumps at least 10 verses forward. Also, border for audio should be the same color as the background - annoyingly white when I am using black text background for lower light levels.

This app offers a really nice mobile bible study interface. It has lots of features, many of which you can use for free. I recommend getting a Logos 7 base package, this will give you more complete word study results, and passage and exegetical guide results (along with so much more!) I use this app several times a day and though the interface has a bit of a learning curve, this app gives me a great way to use my almost 1500 logos books on the go. Thank you Logos, for a great bible study platform!

His mobile app is a wonderful addition to the computer program. I use it a lot during class time when Im teaching were on the road when Im preparing and studying for sermons.

Great app to have on phone for personal devotion! There is a problem when trying to use audio bible feature with it starting at point you select. It also seems to skip chapters and even just quit unexpectedly?

I love the iPad app for Logos. It is such a God sent. As a pastor, seminary student, and most of Christian, I use it throughout the day. The only thing I wish and need is for it to have an audio to read the books just like the PC version. This would make my life so much easier! Thanks logos! Update: 11/2015 I am still waiting on the audio to read the books. I have invested several thousand dollars in my library. I would also love to see the highlight for markup be brighter. The yellow is great. But all the other colors make the text too dark. Colors shades similar to the Kindle app would be great. Thanks Update: 10/2016 still love the app. Best tool ever.

Great tool for study and Biblical exegesis.

Its so great to always have this resource and it is such a great devotional and practical tool!
